Front End Developer

Details: Full time. Based in Dundee. Salary based on experience.

Overview:
Hit Reach are looking for a front end developer to join the established web development team in our Dundee office.

You’ll typically be converting PSD’s produced by our designers into templates which we can incorporate into our WordPress based sites, e-commerce stores and various online applications.

We’d love to meet you if you’re; always looking to expand your skills and responsibilities, happy to work independently, conscientious, have excellent communication skills, have a desire to learn, a team player, full of ideas and, probably most importantly, never deliver a half-hearted job.

Essential:

  • Aware of code reviews
  • Experienced with browser testing
  • Create neat, efficient CSS and pixel perfect execution of our designs
  • Expertise in hand coding modern and standards compliant HTML and CSS
  • Strong working knowledge of CSS3 techniques
  • Strong working knowledge of JavaScript with JQuery experience
  • Comfortable with Photoshop (from a development perspective)
  • Able to take initiative to use online resources to research & further develop skills when required.

Beneficial:

  • SASS/LESS experience
  • Previous CMS/WordPress, AJAX and PHP experience

Web Developer Internship

Details: Full time / Part time. Based in Dundee. Travel + Living allowance.

Overview:
We are looking for an intern to join us for 12 weeks. Preferably you’ll be in year 2, 3 or 4 of a University Web Design Degree or of similar skill level.

You will be joining the web development team and work on a range of projects ranging from updating existing sites through to planning and launching large scale projects. You will also support the web design team in a variety of ways.

You’ll leave with 3 months commercial experience, a reference and real work to show potential employers.

There may even be a job opportunity for the right candidate(s).

  • Extensive knowledge of PHP 5 and library functions including cURL and PHPXML
  • Extensive knowledge of WordPress APIs up-to-and-including version 3.3.1
  • MySql knowledge + PhpMyAdmin experience helpful
  • Working knowledge of OOP PHP and Procedural PHP
  • Excellent working knowledge of HTML4/5 + XHTML
  • Excellent working knowledge of CSS 2.1 (CSS3 helpful)
  • JSON understanding helpful
  • Understanding of AJAX also helpful

SEO Internship

Details: Full time. Based in Dundee. Travel + Living allowance.

Overview:
We are looking for an intern to join us for 12 weeks. Preferably you’ll be in year 2, 3 or 4 of a University Marketing Degree or of similar skill level.

You will be joining the SEO team and work on a range of projects ranging from social media to web research projects.

You will also learn the basics of SEO and some methods of website optimisation.

You’ll leave with 3 months commercial experience, a reference and real work to show potential employers.

There may even be a job opportunity for the right candidate(s).

  • Natural affinity with the web
  • Familiarity with the major social networks – Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, Google+, StumbleUpon
  • Excellent written English, and a propensity to write (e.g. Running your own blog currently)
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of WordPress and other blogging technologies helpful
  • Eye for detail and a conscientious appetite for work

Account Manager Internship

Details: Full time / Part time. Based in Dundee. Travel + Living allowance.

Overview:
We would love to find someone to work closely alongside our account managers who are primarily responsible for organising the workflow for our web design and online marketing teams.

Our account managers handle a wide variety of tasks from managing everyone’s workflow for the week, processing and assigning work requests from clients, quality testing our work and delivering training to clients, maintaining our internal processes and doing the companies admin (invoicing, banking, sending clients gifts, etc).

Good interpersonal skills are a must to be able to interact with the internal team and liaise directly with clients.

You’ll gain direct exposure to the various Web Design, SEO and CRO campaigns Hit Reach are carrying out for our large client base and enjoy working closely alongside a friendly, passionate and experienced team.

This is a challenging, fun and rewarding role for the successful candidate within an established and steadily expanding company in Dundee’s city centre.
