A Goodbye Song for Google Reader Closing

You no doubt already know that Google Reader closing will happen on July 1st given that massive coverage it’s had on Mashable, Daily Mail, Lifehacker and hundreds of other well known blogs and news sites.

The alternatives to Google Reader have been covered literally everywhere  so I won’t bore you with them again.

Google Reader Closing Down

As someone who’s used Google Reader since 2006 I was happy to see the petition on Change.org to save Google Reader had received almost 150k signatures (on publish date) and although it probably won’t stop Google closing Reader it’s nice to know other feel the same way about the service.

Back then it was almost life changing how much content Reader allowed you to aggregate and sift through quickly each day. What previously took literally hours could be be done in 30 minutes.

I felt like I should do something to say Goodbye to Google Reader so I decided to make this song. Hope you enjoy it :)

P.S. If you want to embed it on your own site the code is below the video.
