Broken Link Building
Often considered a ‘sneaky’ tactic, this is almost a reverse-engineered version of the tactic above. Basically, we employ advanced search techniques to discover websites that contain ‘broken links’, which are simply links that no longer go anywhere. We identify the original source, and recreate the content that websites were previously linking to.
Once this is done, we then get in touch with all the sites that had broken links to the content, and ask them to link to our content piece instead. They are happy that their broken link is fixed, and we end up with links without having to generate a clever concept.
